Welcome to My Body My Pilates Below, you’ll find answers to common questions about our studio, classes, policies, and more. If you have any additional inquiries, feel free to contact us.


 
How Do I Book a Class?

You can easily book your Pilates classes online through our booking system. We recommend booking in advance, as spots are limited. First make a Pilates account then book a class, cancel or reschedule. Here is a video of how to use the system here (coming soon!)

How do I choose a class?

To enhance your overall health, strength, flexibility, fitness level, and sports performance, we recommend taking a variety of classes, including mat, reformer, tower, and chair. Each type of equipment provides a unique training environment, offering different challenges that help your body adapt and build resilience for everyday movements and activities.

Group or private?

  • Private Classes: One-on-one sessions tailored to your specific needs, focusing on personalized progress. These sessions can incorporate equipment such as the Reformer, Tower, Chair, or OOV.

  • Semi-private: where you bring a friend or love for a fun private session. 

  • Group Classes: Small class sizes (maximum of 5 participants) allow for personal attention in a social setting. We offer Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair, and OOV classes.

What Class level should I pick?

  • Fundamental → Learn at a slower pace to build solid fundamental skills, where you improve flexibility and stability, and strengthen weaker muscles and endurance in order to develop balanced muscles to improve body function.

  • Beginning → Increase speed while mastering fundamental skills.

  • Intermediate → Improve coordination and balance, flow in grace and effortlessness.

  • Advanced → Achieve full control, strength, and seamless execution in grace and effortlessness.

 

No matter the level, Remember Joseph Pilates named his method Contrology, Precision is one of the principles. movement is medicine!

Do you offer any classes online?

We offer mat classes online, you can join as a single class or use your package or get a mat pass (¥22000) have access to all 16 mat classes a month. There are 2 also available in Studio. Schedule is here.

 

Do you offer classes in other languages, other than English?

All of our instructors are bilingual or trilingual. 
 

You can see which language the instructors speak when looking at the names of classes and which language they are conducted in.


 

How many instructors do you have?

We currently have 5 comprehensive certificated instructors with years of experience. Occasionally  we will have guest instructors. The name of the instructor is listed on each class in booking system. Please note we reserve the right to change the instructor without notification due to the availability of staff. I would like to bring a friend? Can i book her in with my booking package?

 

Yes, feel free to bring a friend just make sure you add your friends name while booking, so we know you are bringing a friend. There is no refund if you make a mistake and/or double-book your class.

 

Who Can Benefit from Pilates?

Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, including:
✔️ Beginners looking to improve strength and flexibility
✔️ Athletes wanting to enhance performance and prevent injuries
✔️ People recovering from injuries (book clinical Pilates for rehab)
✔️ Those experiencing chronic back pain, poor posture, or muscle imbalances
✔️ Prenatal & postpartum individuals (in our pre and postnatal group classes or private sessions)

Who Should Be Cautious or Avoid Pilates?


❓ Individuals with severe osteoporosis (for your safety book clinical Pilates)
❓ Those with recent surgeries or active injuries (Please book clinical Pilates
❓Anyone with chronic pain conditions Please book clinical Pilates first to consult.
❓ High-risk pregnancies (consult with your healthcare provider and book clinical Pilates)

❓Diastasis Recti and pelvic floor recovering after birth (pls book clinical Pilates)

💡 If you’re unsure, we recommend a private session to assess your needs before joining a group class! We also recommend you checking with your primary healthcare provider if you have any concerns before starting.

 

What should I bring to class?



We provide everything you need for the class, along with our love, passion, and professionalism. Just bring your smile, willpower, and respect! Wear workout clothing that is stretchy but not too baggy. This helps your instructor see your body's alignment and how your muscles are engaging.

For hygiene reasons, everyone must wear socks in the studio. Socks with grips on the bottom are recommended for better safety and performance. If needed, grip socks are available for purchase in the studio.

We recommend you bring your own water bottle.


 

Do You Offer Anything for Children?

Currently, we do not offer children's classes. However, older teens may be eligible to join adult classes on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for more information.

 

What Is Your Refund & Cancellation Policy?
  • Cancellations/reschedule: any cancellation and reschedule need to be done 24 hours in advance. 

  • No-Shows: we appreciate you cancel the class in the booking system once you know you can’t make it, it is the fastest way to inform the instructors, so they don’t need to wait for you. 

  • Class packages and memberships: To be fair to all the members, we don’t bend our policy, all packages are valid 6 months from the date you purchase. Packages can NOT be refunded ,transfer nor extended. All the reservations and payment need to be done online. 

  • Drop in: We do accept drop in, however if the class is full you are risking can’t take the class. 


 

Do You Offer Teacher Training?

Yes! We offer a Balanced Body-certified Pilates Instructor Training Courses, conducted in English and Chinese.Each teacher training class is maximum 6 participants.

Our studio is conveniently located a short walk from:

  • 13 minutes from Hiroo Station

  • 10 minutes from Roppongi Hills

  • 8 minutes from Azabu-Juban Station

References to "we," "us," and "our" refer to My Body My Pilates and its related entities, affiliates, and franchisees.

1. Medical Warning

Before beginning any new exercise program, consult with your doctor or healthcare practitioner to assess your health and any potential limitations.

During our classes, pace yourself and avoid overexertion. If you experience pain or discomfort, stop immediately and seek medical attention if you notice any unexpected changes in your physical condition.

Inform your instructor of any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions that may impact your ability to participate.

By engaging in any exercise program (including using any equipment purchased from us), you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. My Body My Pilates, along with its creators, producers, instructors, and distributors, will not be liable for any personal injury, loss, or liability resulting from your participation.

2. Prices and Booking

Bookings are only accepted through our website; we do not take reservations via phone or email.

Our current prices and class schedules are displayed on our website and are subject to change.

To participate in our classes, you must create an account. Your account is governed by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Classes have a limited number of spaces, and you must reserve a spot in advance.

 

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and rescheduling must be done through your online booking account. We do not accept cancellations or rescheduling via phone or email.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled class will incur the full cost of the booking.

 

4. Class Waitlists

If a class is full, you may join the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will receive an email notification and can then book in.

5. Class Packs

All classes must be pre-paid at the time of booking, whether through a class pack or as a casual attendees. Class packs are subject to specific terms, including minimum commitment periods, time restrictions, and attendance limitations.
 

Class packs are non-transferable and may not be sold, traded, gifted, shared, or transferred.

Each class pack has an expiration date. Unused classes will expire, and no refunds will be issued.

Class pack sales are final. My Body My Pilates does not offer refunds, transfers, suspensions, or extensions for any reason, including illness, injury, change of mind, or relocation.

Prices and expiration periods for class packs are available on our website and are subject to change.

6. Referral Credit

From time to time, we may offer credits to members who refer new clients. These credits can be used toward class pack purchases but cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred.

 

7. Pre-Paid Credit

Pre-paid plans can only be used for individual bookings. Multiple users cannot be booked under one pre-paid plan.

8. Gift Vouchers

My Body My Pilates may offer gift vouchers for purchase or promotional use.

Gift vouchers are valid only for their stated dollar value and are not redeemable for cash. We are not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers. All vouchers have a strict expiration date, and unredeemed balances are non-refundable.

Gift vouchers cannot be returned, resold, or used for unauthorized promotional purposes.

 

9. Class Schedules

Class schedules and instructors are subject to change or cancellation without notice.

We are not responsible for providing refunds, credits, transfers, or compensation for schedule changes or cancellations. Permanent changes to our operating hours will be communicated to members.

10. Conditions of Entry

Clients affiliated with organized crime or mafia-related activities are prohibited from using our facilities. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove individuals displaying antisocial, intoxicated, disorderly, aggressive, or dangerous behavior. To minimize disruption, we recommend arriving at least five minutes before class. Late arrivals may lose their reserved spot to a waitlisted client.

Leaving a class early is discouraged, as it disrupts other participants.

Smoking is prohibited inside and outside the studio.

Clients must treat others and studio property with respect. Proper workout attire, including grip socks, is required for hygiene and safety reasons. Grip socks are available for purchase in the studio.

Mobile phones should be turned off during class unless you are on call for emergencies.

 

11. Personal Safety and Risk Acknowledgment

Pilates involves physical activity that carries inherent risks. Participation is at your own risk.

Inform instructors of any health conditions, including injuries or pregnancy, before class. Our staff is not medically trained and cannot assess your fitness for participation. If in doubt, consult a healthcare professional before starting an exercise program.

By participating in our classes, you agree that My Body My Pilates is not liable for any injury, illness, or condition arising from your participation, except in cases of reckless misconduct on our part.

Our instructors may use tactile cues or make physical adjustments for guidance and alignment.

 

12. Pregnancy Policy

Our regular classes are safe up to 14 weeks of pregnancy. After 14 weeks, participation in standard classes is not permitted.

We offer specialized Pregnancy Workouts, which can be attended throughout pregnancy. Please check with us for availability.

13. Security

We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings. We recommend bringing only necessary items and using provided storage facilities.

 

14. Misuse of Class Packs

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate class packs if we suspect fraud or misuse of our booking system.

15. Special Promotions

From time to time, we may offer promotions with specific terms and conditions.

 

16. Payment

You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available in your nominated bank account or credit card to cover purchases. If a payment is declined, we reserve the right to reattempt the charge. Additional fees from failed transactions will be passed on to you. We are not responsible for bank fees incurred due to declined payments.

 

17. Personal Information

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

 

18. Limitation of Liability

Except where prohibited by law, My Body My Pilates and its employees are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from class participation, including theft, unauthorized access, or third-party interference.

19. Change of Instructor

To ensure minimal disruptions, we may change the instructor for any group or private session without prior notice.
